ABOUT
My name is Isabel, and I am a Melbourne-based artist exploring culture, connection, and memory through evocative mixed-media works. My practice is guided by three pillars of exploration: botanicals, epicurean experiences, and culture. Through this, vibrant colour and brushtrokes burst onto the canvas through intuition and informed thinking

Through art, I explore culture as something experienced, real memories, ritual, and everyday moments. Shaped by my multicultural upbringing, my practice navigates the spaces between belonging and distance, drawing from childhood memories, inherited traditions, and places of connection. While my work reflects on fleeting moments, personal histories, and identity, I approach these themes through a lens of curiosity and joy.
Through vibrant colour, layered textures, and expressive compositions, I reimagine everyday experiences, creating spaces where viewers can connect with their own memories, narratives, and feelings of belonging.

I invite you to observe the world as I do: with colour, curiosity, and wonder, drawn to the beauty found within fleeting moments and everyday rituals.

Art has been part of my life from an early age, and my practice has grown with discipline and intention. I often work in obsessive series, allowing myself to fully immerse in a concept. With a background in design, I approach each work with care and cohesion, creating space for connection to unfold.

Alongside my studio practice, I teach art, grounded in the belief that creativity is both a refined discipline and a shared human experience.
