Where Light First Catches blends imagination with the everyday. Drawn from scenes observed through my window, the series focuses on familiar florals transformed by fleeting light. Painted at transitional moments of the day, the works explore unusual lighting conditions—some captured at sunrise, as light first emerges, and others at sunset, where light becomes harsh yet saturated with golden hues. Through these moments, the ordinary is re-framed as quietly luminous.
